Web Hosting - FAQ's

Here are explanations to the most Frequently Asked Questions About our Sevices:

  • What is "Managed" Webhosting?
Whereas many people feel confident they can 'design' a website using modern web development tools, setting up a Web Server on the backbone of the Internet is not a task for the 'average' business owner.

This is where Freecardco Inc. can help... we set up a "virtual" server for your exclusive use on our web-farm, and map your "WWW.Mybusiness.com" domain name to it. We then set up all your email server accounts and enable FTP access to your server so that you can upload your website files to your new home in hyperspace. (Don't worry if you don't even want to do this... we can help out there too!)

Once your site is established on line we cover all the technical details of keeping your site up and running... including running and making available logs of all your visitors and an analysis of your online visitors, adding and removing email and ftp access accounts.

  • Does Freecardco Inc. create websites for its customers?
Yes... absolutely. We specialize in development of sites for small businesses to major corporations. However, this is not a task that can be ordered online like a book. You need to contact us to discuss this important step.

  • What is a POP Email Account?
"POP" email is true internet email that can be accesed using a standard email program... you don't have to go to a "special" page to read or send your mails... give everyone in your company a professional email address ( for example: "j.smith@Yourcompanyname.com")

  • What is FTP?
"FTP" (File Transfer Protocol) is a method of sending files from one computer to another. This allows you to upload files from your own computer at home or work to your server on our hosting site... There are a wide range of freely available programs available to help you in this task.

  • Why do we use PayPal for online payments?
PayPal have one of the most trusted online payment systems on the Internet with almost 20,000,000 (Twenty Million!) registered users.
Their fees to merchants are the lowest in the business... this allows us to pass on the savings to our customers.
We (Freecardco Inc) do not need access to your financial data, PayPal deals with all of that... so no one can "hack" our servers and get access to your private data
    ... it just isn't there!
We believe that this approach gives our customers an extra layer of security.
